Listening sessions with Sonoma Valley Health Round Table and Tourism Improvement District Board

Sonoma Valley Health Round Table is a Work Group of Sustainable Sonoma, composed of multiple organizations working together to "Promote health and wellbeing, catalyze local movement and defend the integrity of health care  access for all in Sonoma Valley".

Membership includes Sonoma Valley Hospital, Sonoma Valley Community Health Center, Sonoma Valley Boys and Girls Club, Sonoma Ecology Center, Sonoma County Dept. of Health Services, private medical practice, La Luz Center, Integrated alternative medicine, Hanna Boys Center, City of Sonoma, business members, community members, behavioral health, Vintage House, and Sonoma Valley Unified School District. 

Sustainable Sonoma held a listening session with this group, which included special guests, Promotores, or Community Health Workers from Sonoma Valley. We received a wonderful presentation on their work and are were very excited about connecting them to the wide ranger of services represented on Sonoma Valley Health Round Table.  

On May 10th, we presented to the Sonoma Tourism Improvement District (Sonoma TID), which was formed to provide a stable source of funding for a sustained marketing program with the goal of increasing occupancy and room revenues at lodging properties in the City of Sonoma. After a brief presentation on Sustainable Sonoma, we held a conversation about the Sonoma Valley economy and issues of affordability and housing.
