Creating a coalition that bridges organizations like the Winegrowers with labor groups like UFW and North Bay Jobs with Justice is a challenge but is important to the success of a Napa-style assessment.
North Bay Jobs with Justice – North Bay Jobs with Justice is one of the most prominent and outspoken labor groups in Sonoma County.
California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation – CRLAF is a statewide nonprofit law firm that works on direct services for farmworkers and larger policy advocacy. CRLAF has long advocated for farmworker housing solutions statewide and may be a helpful partner.
La Luz Center – The leading Latino-serving nonprofit in Sonoma Valley, including in farmworkers and low-income Latinx families in The Springs.
UndocuFund – Organization that provides cash assistance to undocumented residents, especially farmworkers. UndocuFund has been on the front lines of farmworker advocacy locally, especially after natural disasters. Its director, Beatrice Camacho, has been active in Sonoma County housing issues for almost a decade, including the County’s recent just cause ordinance.
