The necessary steps to realize these programs would include the following:

• Informational meeting with SoCo CDC, Sonoma County Housing Fund, SVC, and potentially Generation Housing about the potential for these programs with HTSV.

• Informational discussion with GSFA regarding the potential to implement new first time homebuyer downpayment programs similar to those offered by HTSV and Santa Clara County.

• Meet with City of Sonoma (Manager, Community Development Director) and District 1 representative to understand if they are willing to:

• Update their websites to have a page dedicated to Housing Funding with a link to the first-time and other homebuyers downpayment programs listed above.

• Understand if these representatives, who sit on the JPA’s for granting programs (i.e. CFH, CDBG, HOME) are proactively trying to obtain funding to support this type of program

• County and the City perform feasibility and scoping assessments with the help of HTSV.

• Identify funding need and source the funding.
