Sonoma Valley Collaborative can facilitate this proposal and help identify and write grants, perhaps coordinated with Generation Housing and the Sonoma County Housing Fund.

Sonoma County Housing Fund has already developed 7 affordable housing projects in Sonoma County including Siesta Way in Sonoma Valley. It is possible the Fund may be open to helping source funds or host a first time homebuyers program, e.g. in collaboration with HTSV.

Sonoma County Office of Equity could provide guidance on equitable program design, supporting culturally and linguistically appropriate outreach, and ensuring that the programs address systemic barriers faced by historically underserved communities.

HCD CalHome should encourage the City of Sonoma or Sonoma County CDC to apply for grants through a NOFA and work with non-profit developers.  They should also mprove their web portal for one-stop, user friendly access and increase marketing to stakeholders in the community to increase awareness.

HAC (the County employee program) should provide marketing to realtors and non-profit developers of homes (e.g. Burbank Housing administration of the CalHome Resale Program).
